Rodney Strong Winery in Healdsburg, Sonoma County is well known for fabulous wines and fantastic venues for their summer concert series. Kirby Construction collaborated with the its management team, lead architect and landscape architect on this fabulous terrace construction project. It features a monolithic concrete tasting bar, re-milled redwood barrel slats recycled from the fermentation barn with a custom integrated door, expansive landscaping featuring Granitecrete, a comfortable seating area under pistache trees, a generous fireplace, a commercial pizza oven and a stunning water feature complete with ADA accessibility.
In October of 2014, this project was nominated and subsequently awarded the prestigious People’s Choice Award at our local AIA Redwood Empire Chapter. Congratulation to the design team of Mary Dooley of MAD Architecture and Stephanie McAlister Landscape Architecture. We were delighted to play an important part in this award winning project.
